Our Brief

The client had moved to a new home, their first home together. They were keen to combine both of their ideas into the garden and make the area more usable. The garden had a tired, small dangerous patio area by the house which had apparent drainage issues. The one key ‘must have’, was both wanted a large patio area to entertain their families and some smaller areas to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. This was an exciting project as they were open to a design with no grass.

Approach

We met with the clients in their garden and had a couple of hours of discussing ideas, how they were planning to use their new garden and some key features they wanted. Once Chris had a clear vision of their brief he was ready to take the client on an exciting journey

With Chris’s unique design flair and the technology used, we were able to show the client an accurate video and imagery of their new garden, along with a comprehensive understanding of the chosen materials to be used, taking full advantage of our fully stocked showroom. All whilst enjoying a cup of tea and a piece of cake.

A contemporary space with a beautiful new feature patio, steps up to the top terrace and a couple of bijou eating areas The garden now takes the client on a beautiful journey through the garden with numerous points of interest complimented by well thought out and varied planting.

What The Client Said

From the outset, we were really impressed with Chris and Toby's professionalism and enthusiasm for the project. They took onboard what we wanted to achieve with our garden transformation and our ideas for using the outdoor space. Their positivity and can-do attitude gave us the reassurance that they could overcome any challenges which might arise, particularly the garden's sloping aspect and drainage problems. Nothing was too difficult.

At the design reveal we were totally blown away by Chris' amazing 3D rendering of the garden. We loved the selection of materials, the inspired contemporary design choices and the lovely planting scheme. It ticked all the boxes for us. Toby's detailed and transparent costings showed exactly where the money would be spent, there were no hidden extras. All of this gave us the confidence to embark on what would be the largest project for our new home.

Our installation team were incredibly hardworking, polite and respectful of our property. We were impressed with the quality of workmanship and attention to detail displayed throughout the project. Toby and the team answered any questions we had and were happy to implement the few changes we requested as work progressed. They dealt with any problems which arose without fuss.

It was clear that customer satisfaction is incredibly important for everybody in the company. The final results were better even than the 3D render we had viewed initially. It really is a dream garden for us, which will help us maximise the enjoyment of our property over the years ahead. For anyone looking to transform their garden with a quality design and installation service, we would not hesitate in recommending the Garden Project Co.
